Connections

August 12 - 18, 2026

(Wednesday Dinner – Tuesday breakfast)
Connections

Program facilitators include Rolf Eriksen, Projects Lead; Marilynne Gardner, Merry Bullock, projects support. Discussion leaders include Megan Barnes, Bryn Juna, JohnDavid Toren, and Arlan Smallwood. Children’s Program coordinators are Andrie Levey-Bates and Michaela Toren.

(PLEASE NOTE: if you intend to participate in Connections for only some days of the 6-day program, please click here to register)

The Connections program continues its tradition of combining intergenerational work projects with lively discussion, meditation, community campfires and play time. The intention of this program is to promote stewardship of the camp’s facilities, and to nurture the relationships that connect us all. These relations, and commitment to Indralaya develop through shared experience of all kinds, including our shared labor, a centerpiece of Connections.

Schedule

A typical Connections day includes project work (about 3.5 hours), daily discussion (1.5 hours), free time, and after dinner volleyball and campfire. We usually reserve one day for a camp outing.
On August 15, the in-person Annual Members Meeting will be at 7:30 pm.

Projects

Connections’ participants will undertake a variety of projects from construction, to forest cleaning, to organization, to handiwork. Participants of all ages and proficiency levels are invited to find a project that fits their interests and abilities – or helps develop new skills. The work is structured to engage people of all skills and interests.

There will also be opportunities to volunteer in leading or supervising activities for children, work in the garden and kitchen, on the trails and elsewhere.

Most campers participate in these activities and therefore qualify for the daily staff rate. If you plan to contribute, please mark ‘daily staff’ as one of the optional items when you register.

Please also come prepared to share your musical, dance, literary, theatric and comedic talents at evening campfire.

Families

We will be offering more structured children’s programming, coordinated by Andrie Levey-Bates and Michaela Toren.

Program Discussion – 2026 Theme – Theosophy Over the Years

The program will center around the latest release of a film titled ONE FIRE that invites viewers on a journey through the enduring impact of Theosophy over the past 150 years across the arts, music, science, education, and politics.

Each day will be led by one presenter sharing part of the movie and then leading a discussion on these topics.

“The film carries a timeless yet urgent truth: we are all sparks of the same eternal flame. In an age of division and uncertainty, this message — at the heart of Blavatsky’s teachings — reminds us of the ancient flame that binds humanity together, calling us to rediscover unity, wisdom, and spirit in our own time. This film was made with love — for you, for the world, for those who came before us, and those who will come after us. And for the ONE FIRE that unites us all,”
Terhi Ahava, Director, ONE FIRE
