The Board of the Orcas Island Foundation (Indralaya) is delighted to announce that Chris Lemig will be the new Indralaya General Manager. He will begin March 8, 2026.
Meet Chris Lemig!
Chris Lemig brings a background in contemplative practice, community living, and service-based leadership to his new role as General Manager of Indralaya. He spent several years living in India and Nepal as a Buddhist monk before returning to the United States in 2016, where he founded a private hypnotherapy practice focused on personal growth, emotional healing, and spiritual self-discovery. Earlier in his work career, he worked in the restaurant industry as both a server and manager, gaining practical experience in hospitality and team coordination.
Greetings – “Hello, Indralaya!”
Earlier this year, I was both surprised and delighted to learn that the general manager position was available. From the moment I began learning more about the role, I felt a deep resonance with the spirit of this place.
I’ve long been committed to living simply, mindfully, and with compassion—both for myself and others. As a longtime vegetarian and someone who equally values community and spiritual self-inquiry, I feel especially aligned with Indralaya’s principles of ahimsa, volunteerism, and the pursuit of truth.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to join this community and look forward to listening, learning, and growing alongside you. It’s an honor to step into this role as we move toward Indralaya’s 100th year and beyond, and I’m excited to steward its mission in collaboration with the OIF Board, volunteers, and program particiants.
Yours in Service,
Chris
