Deep Singing

With Barbara Bellamy and Tiffany Stoker

June 25 - July 1, 2026

(Thursday Dinner – Wednesday Breakfast)
Deep Singing

Deep Singing is a welcoming, week-long program that invites music lovers of all backgrounds to experience the joy of singing as a natural, human expression—no prior singing experience required. Rooted in the belief that singing is a universal language that connects and uplifts, the program focuses on shared joy rather than performance.

Founded over 25 years ago by Helen Bee and Barbara Bellamy, Deep Singing features chants, rounds, and four-part songs (SATB) drawn—with permission—from diverse spiritual traditions and songwriters. Mornings are spent singing together in a circle, supported by the Pavilion’s beautiful acoustics, with an emphasis on simple harmonies, mindfulness, and meaningful silence between songs. Afternoons offer optional workshops like voice-body connection, Threshold Choir, and advanced part singing, along with time to enjoy the natural beauty of Camp Indralaya.

The program is currently led by Barbara Bellamy and her daughter, Tiffany Stoker, whose mother-daughter leadership reflects the deeply familial and intergenerational spirit of Indralaya’s community. Many participants return year after year, while first-time singers often report feeling immediately welcomed into this warm, supportive circle.
