Deep Singing
June 25 - July 1, 2026

(Thursday Dinner – Wednesday Breakfast) Deep Singing Deep Singing is a welcoming, week-long program that invites music lovers of all backgrounds to experience the joy of singing as a natural, human expression—no prior singing experience required. Rooted in the belief that singing is a universal language that connects and uplifts, the program focuses on shared joy rather than performance. Founded over 25 years ago by Helen Bee and Barbara Bellamy, Deep Singing features chants, rounds, and four-part songs (SATB) drawn—with permission—from diverse spiritual traditions and songwriters. Mornings are spent singing together in a circle, supported by the Pavilion’s beautiful acoustics, with an emphasis on simple harmonies, mindfulness, and meaningful silence between songs. Afternoons offer optional workshops like voice-body connection, Threshold Choir, and advanced part singing, along with time to enjoy the natural beauty of Camp Indralaya. The program is currently led by Barbara Bellamy and her daughter, Tiffany Stoker, whose mother-daughter leadership reflects the deeply familial and intergenerational spirit of Indralaya’s community. Many participants return year after year, while first-time singers often report feeling immediately welcomed into this warm, supportive circle. Deep Singing Weekend
September 17 - 20, 2026

(Thursday Dinner – Sunday Breakfast) Deep Singing Weekend Join us for the weekend version of  the transformative Deep Singing Program. Let your light shine! No singing experience required. We celebrate the innate human ability to sing, because singing is more than a skill, it’s a joyous expression of the soul. And a universal language to unite us all. Chants, rounds, and four-part-songs (SATB), lovingly collected with permission from a wide range of sources and songwriters, form a rich Songbook representing diverse voices and spiritual traditions. Each morning, we form a circle held by the Pavilion’s incredible acoustics learning songs with meditative, easy-to-sing harmonies and relishing the profound silence between songs. Afternoons, we offer a variety of optional specialty workshops, from voice-body connection, a Threshold Choir demonstration, learning harder part songs, and allowing time for campers to explore the trails, beaches, and stunning natural beauty of Camp Indralaya. Some singers return every year they can to this beloved program.  We find those at this program for the first time feel immediately welcome in this growing community of singers.
