Practical Applications of Therapeutic Touch:
Deepening Our Practice of TT In Challenging and Changing Times

Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them, humanity cannot survive.

******
It is in the still ambience of unconditional love that the call within can reach the level required to effectively project healing energy. It is as if the welling up of compassion from the depths of the individual resulted in an inner sound or vibration. ~ ~ ~ Without compassion, whatever else one may do, it is not Therapeutic Touch.

We are looking forward to fresh faces, as well as experienced hands, whether or not you have gone through the credentialing process. As healing practitioners, we need each other to learn and grow. The criteria for attendance are practice and the desire to be of service.

During this week we will work together to support our healing partners and TTers to deepen understanding of this amazing modality. Our day begins by gathering in the meadow for group meditation, involving Practitioners and Healing Partners.  From this place of deep inner quiet, harmony and unity, we support the Healing Partners through morning TT sessions.  Group discussion follows using self-reflective processes to journal, to debrief, and to explore the multiple aspects presented including, but not limited to, shifts in consciousness, the various ways of assessment and treatment, and the ways in which we support our own healing.

Following lunch, a short time to rest is provided as Dora understood that we are all in need, and an essential component of healing is rest.  Then our afternoon gatherings are focused on growing through cohort groups – deepening through dialogue and explorations into the teachings from Dora and Dee, including sharing of treatments between Practitioners.  Evening campfires continue our journey.

Wherever you are in your journey of understanding healing and TT, we will provide time for in-depth discussion, exploration, and support for plumbing the depths of current understandings.

Kathy Arquette
EdM, QTTT (she/her) I am an energetic, enthusiastic, and joyful TT practitioner and so grateful to have TT as a lifeway, a journey of fun, learning, compassion, and healing. I was introduced to TT twenty plus years ago, Therapeutic Touch dovetailed so nicely with the Sound trainings I was studying. My TT practice deepened through visits to The Rockery, Dee Krieger’s home in Montana, where we attended to complete a “honey-do” list of projects for Dee. I went twice a year and those visits opened my curiosity. I needed to know more about this wonderful healing modality. The visits were a gateway to my involvement as a board member on the TT Dialogues Board. The experience and self-growth through the TTD journey opened me to mentoring skills. My physical education, health teacher and coaching career laid a solid foundation of listening, supporting, challenging those who I have been blessed to mentor. I look forward to joining you at TT Mentorship Camp in June!

Cordy Anderson
BSN, Retired RN, QTTT (she/her) In 1984 I was beginning my 32-year career as a home health and hospice nurse. Therapeutic Touch magically came into my life as the “what to do when there is nothing else left to help”. Almost immediately I found TT to be an amazing adjunct to my nursing care…to ease someone’s respiratory distress…to relieve phantom pain…to help reduce a fever. Now, in my “retreadment” (a term I learned from Dee) my priorities are to be an involved grandma, teach TT and offer Therapeutic Touch every chance I get. After over 30 years, I know that I am greatly benefitted by each and every TT session. It is my joy to share this experience with others, especially as we explore TT in new ways.

Lin Bauer
MS, CCMHP, QTTT (she/her) I have been a Therapeutic Touch practitioner since 1992 and teacher since 2002, teaching all three levels of TT.  As a retired Special Education teacher after 32+ years, I am also a Sound Therapist, practicing since 2001. I am currently on the board of Camp Indralaya and am the Education Trustee for TTIA board.  I am also on the boards of TT Dialogues, Inc, and the Northwest Therapeutic Touch Institute.  In addition to working with people with special needs, my TT practice includes working with people with cancer, and those who are on hospice. I have presented Therapeutic Touch workshops internationally, particularly in working with people dealing with cancer and in the use of combining sound and music with TT. Teaching TT and being a TT practitioner are among my greatest joys.
