Indralaya In The World

We are living in a precarious world right now, experiencing the effects of climate change,
globalism, regime changes, and backlash. It would be so easy to utilize Indralaya as a haven, a
sole place of peace and harmony in our busy lives, shutting out the outside world. History,
however, has taught us this does not work. The principles of theosophy – namely, the
interconnectedness of all beings and the universality of humanity – encourage us to bridge the
divides in our lives and think of us as one.

At Indralaya we talk about orienting our work and our lives with the principle of ahimsa – the
Sanskrit word for nonviolence, which embraces a holistic peace, one of compassion, connection
and community. When we lead with ahimsa, we cannot only relegate it to a portion of our lives.
We encourage all who experience Indralaya, all who hold this ethos close, to extend it into
other areas of our lives. We reject harm and oppression in all forms and strive to make not just
Indralaya but the world safe and whole for all.
