Qi Gong for HealthAugust 27 - 30, 2026
(Thursday diner – Sunday breakfast) Qigong for Health A River Flows Through Us: Strengthening Vitality and Connection with Life through Qigong In this experiential retreat, we will immerse ourselves in the timeless river of qi—the living energy that flows through our bodies, our relationships, and the natural world. Through gentle Qigong movement, mindful breathing, imaginative exploration, and playful interaction, we will deepen our capacity to sense and move with this river of life while cultivating vitality, balance, embodied awareness, and the body’s innate capacity for healing and self-regulation. Our practice will explore the Three Treasures of Jing, Qi, and Shen (精炁神)—embodied essence, life energy, and luminous awareness—through both structured Qigong forms and spacious opportunities for spontaneous movement. Drawing inspiration from rivers, trees, animals, mountains, and the living landscape around us, participants will be invited to follow their own felt sense of qi and discover movement from within. We may also explore partner practices inspired by Tai Chi push hands, cultivating the ability to listen, yield, remain grounded, and respond fluidly in relationship, as well as Dao Yin, a traditional self-healing practice incorporating gentle movement, touch, massage, and acupuncture points.
